September 29, 2024 On-Line service of worship for the Longmeadow Congregational Church, UCC.

My name is Pastor Ruth of the Longmeadow Church and I post a special message for the children of our church every Wednesday as well as a message every Sunday for Family Worship.

As Jesus and his disciples continue their journey, the disciples see others who are doing things differently and want to stop them, simply because they are different – not wrong or harmful, just different. But Jesus says no, let us work together, “Have salt in yourselves, and be at peace with one another.” Our Scripture text for today is Mark 9: 38-50.

Once again, I apologize for the reflection of the ring light in my glasses, the cloudiness of the day necessitated the lamp and I forgot to remove my glasses.
