This year I fulfill a longstanding dream of growing and harvesting grain with the helo of machines which means I need someplace to both dry and store it. A grain dryer on a pallet felt like a nice fit! That would mean I could also bring it along to the combine harvester which is nice, since I don't have a wagon for the tractor.

Idea: To create an empty space beneath the grain where air can enter and be distributed up among the grain.

Step by step: Take a pallet, attach a board, build walls with boards about 10 cm high or some such, add a mesh of some kind (add reinforcements if needed before the mesh), add walls, reinforce walls. Drill a hole in the side above the bottom board and below the mesh, attach blower. Make a hole above the mesh, build a door of somekind, and hopefully one can empty it through that hole.

I make mine from left over material which it's why the results is such a patch work. It works fine, but I would need a stronger blower if I'm gonna full it any more thant this.

Im harvesting with a Columbus combine harvester from the early sixties and the grain is more weed than actual grain, but it was fun!
