Most of my landscape painting is alla prima or wet on wet and created from plein air studies, imagination and digital reference photos.

This is not formula painting like beloved painter Bob Ross created for TV viewers. My painting style is based on the principles professional artists use like abstract color shapes, edge quality for greater realism, shadow and highlight, color theory or convincing color relationships, and squinting to establish correct values throughout the painting.

About the Artist:

Learn from impressionist Bill Inman as he demonstrates for his class how to breathe life into loose abstract color masses.

He records his painting class demos and thought those videos would be helpful for his students to refer back to. He then decided to share them with his followers on YouTube.

He is classically trained with 5 years of figure, head and fashion drawing from the model and holds an MFA in studio painting.

He sells his work through galleries around the country as a full time artist.

These colors and techniques generally apply equally well with oil or acrylic paint.
