I'm working on another project which requires the removal of all the bark on these white cedar poles. Cedar is a great wood to use here in Vermont for fence posts and any other outdoor project as it holds up nicely for years.

I have a drawknife to get the areas that are difficult to remove, but my little knife works perfectly for pulling up the edges in the areas that it is easily removable. It's much quicker to debark the wood if I can get it off in long pieces.

This type of activity is actually quite relaxing and a great way to spend a few hours outside in the warm weather with the sun and birds for company.
