#gagol #meerut #रामायण #ramayan गगोल तीर्थ, यानी ऋषि विश्वामित्र जी का आश्रम,मेरठ. यदी आपने कभी रामायण का पाठ किया है या फिर पुरुषोत्तम भगवान श्रीराम के जीवन के बारे में जानते होंगे तो आप ऋषि विश्वामित्र के बारे में भी जानते होंगे। रघुकुल में ऋषि वशिष्ठ और ऋषि विश्वामित्र, प्राचीन भारत में अति वरिष्ट,प्रसिध्द व सम्मानित ऋषियों में से रहे हैं। ऋषि विश्वामित्र ने ही भगवान श्रीराम को अपने यज्ञ की राक्षसों से रक्षा करने व उनका संहार करने के लिए वन में ले गए थे। यज्ञ संपन्न कराकर ऋषि विश्वामित्र ही भगवान श्रीराम और उनके भाई लक्ष्मण को मिथिला के राजा जनक के यहाँ सीता स्वयंवर में भी लेकर गए थे। मेरठ, उत्तर प्रदेश के पास ऋषि विश्वामित्र का आश्रम है, जो कि गगोल तीर्थ के नाम से प्रचलित है। ऐसा कहते हैं, ऋषि विश्वामित्र के आग्रह से भगवान श्रीराम और भाई लक्ष्मण कुछ समय यहाँ रहे भी थे। रामायण अनुसार, यह तीर्थ दण्डकारण्य में ऋषि विश्वामित्र, ऋषि भारद्वाज जैसे महाऋषियों की तपोस्थली रही है। उस समय यहाँ पर कई आश्रम और प्रयोगशालाएं हुआ करती थीं। यह स्थान महत्वपूर्ण थी तो रावण के गुप्तचर व उसकी सेना भी यहाँ पर अपनी नजर रखते थे। खर-दूषण, ताड़का, सुबाहु जैसे राक्षस यहाँ निवास करते थे। इस जगर के पास एक गाँव भी है खरखौदा जोकि खर-दूषण का निवास स्थान था। कहते हैं कि भगवान श्रीराम ने अपने तीर से भू-गर्भ से जलस्त्रोत प्रकट किया था। तभी से इस जगह का नाम गंगलो अर्थान गंगा व जल, गंगोल हो गया। कहा जाता है आज भी यहाँ स्थित विशाल कुंड में गंधक के पानी का प्राकृतिक स्त्रोत यज्ञ वेदी है। लोगों में ऐसी मान्यता है कि इस कुंड में स्नानादि करने से किसी भी प्रकार का चर्मरोग दूर हो जाता है। यह जगह आज एक और वजह से लोगों में प्रचलित है। कहते हैं इस आश्रम का विकास कराने के लिए खिचड़ीवाले बाबा ने इसी कुंड के पानी से खिचड़ी बनाकर चमत्कार किया। आज आपको यहाँ भगवान श्रीराम, लक्ष्मण, राजर्षि विश्वामित्र, शिव परिवार, दूर्गा माँ, बालाजी महाराज आदि के सुंदर मंदिर देखने को मिल जाएंगे। धार्मिक आस्थाओं के केंद्र में वाले इस तीर्थ में लाखों श्रृध्दालु अपने पितरों का पिंडदान करने के लिए भी आते हैं। आपको बता दें, महाऋषि विश्वामित्र के पास 99 बीघा भूमि थी, आज भी यह बात दस्तावेजों (खसरा-खतौनी व अन्य दस्तावेज) में दर्ज है। ऐतिहासिक महत्व रखने वाली इस जगह के लिए अब सरकार यहाँ बदलाव भी करने जा रही है। सरकार की योजनाओं में इस तीर्थ स्थान में श्रृध्दालुओं के अनुसार उत्तम व्यवस्था प्रदान की जाएगी। इस तीर्थ स्थान की महत्वत्ता को बनाए रखने के लिए इसे और भी सुंदर बनाया जाएगा। अगर आप इस तीर्थस्थली के दर्शन करना चाहते हैं तो मेरठ-दिल्ली मार्ग पर मेरठ में प्रवेश करते ही परतापुर से एक मार्ग कताई मिल व परतापुर हवाई पट्टी की ओर जाता है। यही रास्ता आगे खरखौदा गाँव के लिए भी जाता है। इसी रास्ते परतापुर फ्लाईओवर से करीब पाँच किमी पूर्व दिशा में ही यह तीर्थ स्थली है। If you have read Ramayana or know about the life of Supreme Lord Shri Ram, then you must also know about Sage Vishwamitra. This place was important, so Ravana's spies and his army also used to keep an eye on this place. Demons like Khar-Dushan, Tadka, Subahu used to reside here. There is also a village near this Jagar, Kharkhoda, which was the abode of Khar-Dushan. It is said that Lord Shri Ram had revealed the water source from the earth with his arrow. Since then the name of this place became Gangalo meaning Ganga and water, Gangol. It is said that even today the Yagya Vedi is the natural source of sulfur water in the huge tank located here. There is a belief among the people that by taking a bath in this pool, any kind of skin disease can be cured. This location is popular today for another reason. It is stated that Khichdiwale Baba performed a miracle for the establishment of this ashram by producing khichdi from the water of this pond. Today you will see magnificent temples of Lord Shri Ram, Lakshman, Rajarshi Vishwamitra, Shiv Parivar, Durga Maa, Balaji Maharaj, and others. Lakhs of devotees flock to this pilgrimage, which is at the heart of religious beliefs, to offer pinddaan to their ancestors. Let we tell you, Maharishi Vishwamitra had 99 bighas of land, even today this thing is recorded in the documents (Khasra-Khatauni and other documents). Because of the historical significance of this location, the government is presently making adjustments.
