Telegraphic Speech -- Part 1

Описание к видео Telegraphic Speech -- Part 1

'Telegraphic Speech' is a phenomenon first documented by Roger Brown and his colleagues in the early 1960s. Although the phenomenon of omitting words that have grammatical function is now well documented among toddlers learning to speak many languages, just which words toddlers' omit and why remains a lively area of research. The patterns created in telegraphic speech may give insight to understanding the nature of grammatical development and why some children's language development is delayed. This video and others explore 'telegraphic speech' and explanations of why this phenomenon occurs.
