Rode Wireless PRO & Deity TC-1 Timecode Jam Sync: Too Good to be True?

You might be wondering if the Rode Wireless Pro can be used alongside other timecode systems, to expand its timecode feature to even more cameras on your film set. And it turns out, it’s not a straightforward yes or no. Your mileage may vary depending on the equipment you’re using, and how you have it set up, but in some cases, you can jam sync another timecode system using the Wireless Pro as the master. Stay tuned to hear the good and the bad about my findings when using the Wireless Pro to jam sync the Deity TC-1.

Corrections:
3:53 THIS HAS NOW BEEN FIXED WITH FIRMWARE VERSION 1.2.3
4:11 USE RODE CENTRAL TO UPDATE ALL 3 UNITS TO V1.2.3
4:21 Once the Wireless Pro is updated to V1.2.3, set the Rode RX to TC5 mode, and the TC-1 should now detect the EXT signal
4:31 In this video, I was running V1.1.9, and Rode Central did not show any new firmware updates until the Rode Central app itself was updated
4:41 So make sure you are running the latest version of the Rode Central app, and then check again for firmware updates
