Garden Office Build | Foundations & Timber Frame | EP1

When covid lockdown kicked in, I started working from home full time and immediately began dreaming of having my own space rather than working from the dining room table. After following lots of other people's YouTube videos on garden rooms/workshops/offices, I decided to have a crack myself.

In this video we’re focussing on the foundations and the timber frame. We were lucky enough to find an existing concrete slab where we were planning to put the garden office but still had to add some extra footings at the front. The timber frame was made using 2x4 C24 timber.

I’m not a builder or professional tradesmen so I’m sure I’ve made many mistakes along the way but hopefully this series is interesting and shows what someone with very little experience can do with the help of YouTube.
