Prof Michael Belin explains the Belin ABCD Keratoconus Staging and Progression displays, which objectively stage and determine the progression of the disease. It works retrospectively allowing an analysis of previous exams. The latest update includes the progression analysis after CXL, allowing an objective assessment of the treatment success.

The Belin ABCD Keratoconus Staging incorporates anterior and posterior curvature, thinnest pachymetry and distance visual acuity, better reflecting the anatomical changes in keratoconus than traditional Amsler Krumeich grading. This new staging forms the base of the Belin ABCD Progression Display, detecting and monitoring early keratoconus progression.
