To try and get the most information about hearing abilities that we can during audiology appointments, we choose the test methods that patients are most comfortable with and holds their interest the longest. One type of hearing testing we do at Boys Town Audiology is Conventional Audiometry. This is testing where the patient presses a button in response to sound. This testing is for late elementary school age children and older, but please note the age ranges/grades that are listed are just guides and a different testing method may be used depending on patient interests and needs.
