A massive cyber scandal has shaken India after hackers breached Payal Maternity Hospital in Rajkot using the default password “admin123.”
The attackers accessed CCTV cameras in the gynaecology ward, stealing over 50,000 intimate clips that were sold through an international porn network.
The breach lasted nearly a year before arrests were made in February 2025.
Investigators revealed that many hospitals still use factory-set passwords, leaving systems vulnerable.
Lead hacker Parit Dhameliya, a BCom graduate, coordinated the operation using advanced hacking tools.
Authorities have urged hospitals across India to immediately strengthen cybersecurity and update passwords to prevent further violations.
