Hundreds of masked Palestinians clad in military fatigues and armed with mock-Kalshnikov rifles staged a symbolic funeral in the West Bank...a funeral for the ailing Middle East peace process. The protesters, supporters of the Islamic Jhiad movement, chanted "Death to America, Death to Israel!" at the demonstration in the West Bank town of Hebron.
Palestinian leader Yasser Arafat wants the talks to finalise promised Israeli troop withdrawals in the West Bank and a halt in Jewish settlement contruction on Palestinian land.
