HOW TO TIE THE DECEIVER IN 2023. 4K

In this tutorial video I am tying a version of Lefty's Deceiver he created in the 1950's. This fly should be a staple in all saltwater fly fisherman's boxes as well as for large predatory freshwater fish. With modifications this fly can represent a myriad of bait fish species. Changing the bucktail, and Krystal Flash colors can make a big difference and entice more fish to bite it.

Materials you will need for this pattern.
1. 2/0 Gamakatsu Saltwater Hook. SL-11-3H.
2. Uni Mono thread, clear or whatever color you want the head to be.
3. Natural white buck tail, & chartreuse, olive, black, yellow or blue buck tail.
4. Krystal Flash, pearl, red, silver or gold.
5. Flashabou, holographic silver, green or gold.
6 Spirit River 3-D Eyes 2.5.... Silver or gold.
7. Spirit River saddle hackle, white, chartreuse, yellow or any color you like.
8. Marabou, red.
Optional...
9. Peacock Herl for a crest.
10. Zap-A-Gap
