Italian Scotch? Ruadh Mhor Peated Whisky from Glenturret.

According to the website: Available in 250 numbered bottles , Ruadh Mhor is a Single Malt Scotch aged 13 years in a 500 liter first-fill ex-sherry Pedro Ximenez cask, which, thanks to the excellent oak wood and patient maturation, has allowed it to develop a particularly high quality whisky, characterized by a delicate complexity balanced between the rich notes of red fruit, hazelnut, oak and a soft smoky touch.

It was Glenturret, the oldest house in Scotland, founded in 1763, that distilled it in 2010. But it is the uniqueness, in its form and content, that makes it so: the bottles are in fact expressions of different casks. Never one the same as the other.

The cardinal points of taste are their own exaltation to power: water, barley malt, wood and time. It also leads the way among the stars of spirits in the choice of packaging: the external box has two die-cut side openings in the shape of an hourglass and contains a precious case made by hand in oak wood, aged over thirty years. Inside, an elegant clutch bag envelops the bottle with a typically Decò design in ribbed wavy glass with finely crafted labels, distinguishable by touch and numbered by hand.
