Examining The Fatal Frame PS2 Trilogy

Описание к видео Examining The Fatal Frame PS2 Trilogy

The Fatal Frame series is some of the finest survival horror around.

Twenty-plus years later since its beginnings, Fatal Frame remains one of the more unique franchises within the survival horror realm.

Fatal Frame's heavy usage of cameras is a calling card for the series. One in which I'm surprised few other titles have pulled from. Unlike other series like Resident Evil or Silent Hill, Fatal Frame goes with a Japanese setting, pulling heavy from the folklore of ghosts.

If you want to check out the undub versions for Fatal Frame, you can find them on CDRomance.

What you end up with are some of the best the genre has to offer, both from gameplay and a story perspective.

For this video, I'll be looking at the first three titles in the Fatal Frame series. The ones that saw release on PlayStation 2. While the Xbox had a release for Fatal Frame 1 and 2, it didn't see a release for the third title. Coming into this video, I've completed Fatal Frame 2 in the past and played a fair amount of Fatal Frame, but going in blind with Fatal Frame 3. Each has its strengths and weaknesses, and all deliver excellent horror experiences that are some of the better ones around.
