Known to Northwest music fans for years as the larger-than-life front man for electro-punk trio Death By Stars, Patrick Galactic’s psych pop solo turn in 2014 took listeners in the exact opposite direction.

Trading layers of electronic texture for the naked minimalism of an acoustic guitar, Patrick Galactic’s smoky baritone and haunting melodies stand front and center. Bathed in reverb and echo, Galactic’s work blends the weary introspection of Leonard Cohen, Nick Cave, and the Velvet Underground with the pop sensibilities of David Bowie, Elliot Smith and Harry Nilsson.
