In the early morning of 6 June 1944, PFC Boyd Travers and the 82nd Airborne Division are dropped behind enemy lines as part of Operation Neptune. They must assist with the D-Day landings at Utah beach by clearing out a series of German bunkers and pillboxes so that the incoming landing forces can secure the beaches.

The Normandy landings were the landing operations and associated airborne operations on 6 June 1944 of the Allied invasion of Normandy in Operation Overlord during the Second World War. Codenamed Operation Neptune and often referred to as D-Day, it is the largest seaborne invasion in history. The operation began the liberation of France, and the rest of Western Europe, and laid the foundations of the Allied victory on the Western Front.
Five hours before the beach landings, 6,420 paratroopers from the 82nd Airborne Division jumped from 370 C-47 planes to secure several key locations. Their main objectives were to capture the town of Sainte Mère Église, a crucial communications crossroad behind Utah Beach, and to block the approaches into the area from the west and southwest. While the 507th Parachute Infantry Regiment missed their drop zones entirely, the veteran 505th Regiment jumped accurately and captured the town of Sainte-Mère-Église, which proved essential to the success of the division.

Gameplay set to Expert difficulty mode. Footage captured on Xbox 360.
