USS West Virginia is, perhaps, the most famous of the Pearl Harbor battleships outside of Arizona. For good reason. For all that her active service would prove to be incredibly short, this was a ship that was rebuilt to be functionally a new ship.

A ship with a rebuild that is so distinctive, it is almost instantly recognizable in a way the other rebuilt Standards aren't.

And this after taking some truly horrendous damage in the attack. Damage that any other navy would have scrapped a ship for.
