How to Replace the Cruise Control Switch/Button on a Kia Sportage Years 2011-2016

Описание к видео How to Replace the Cruise Control Switch/Button on a Kia Sportage Years 2011-2016

This video shows how to replace the cruise control switch (buttons) on a Kia Sportage for years 2011, 2012, 2013, 2014, 2015 and 2016. I have been informed that some steering wheels only have 2 screws behind them that need to be removed instead of 3. If you have a 2011-2016 Sportage with a steering wheel that requires a different repair process than this can you let me know? I will update everything I can about the video if so. Thank you!!

Included in this video is also how to remove the horn or steering wheel airbag assembly.

The tools needed in this repair are:
1. A short Philips head screw driver
2. A long T40 torx bit
3. A plastic wedge or trim panel prybar

Caution:
The SRS (Supplemental Restraint System) uses very large capacitors to store enough energy to deploy the air bags, for a short while after the power is lost, as might be the case in an accident. Disconnect and isolate the battery negative (ground) cable, then wait at least two minutes for the system capacitor to discharge before performing further diagnosis or service. This is the only sure way to disable the SRS. Failure to take the proper precautions could result in accidental airbag deployment.
