has mounted pressure on the headmistress of Wesley Girls Betty Dzokoto to be removed from her position as the head of the school. This comes after Miss Betty
denied some muslim girls from 'fasting' during the Muslims Ramadan fasting period.The school authorities say that, the reason for denying those muslims their
religious rights was simply on health reasons and this should be strictly be ahered to; a no fasting policy by any muslim student at Wesley Girls, a methodist and
Christian based secondary institution; and this is part of their school rules. This has angered the Islamic authorities in Ghana because they believe it is an
abuse to their religious rights. They are calling on the Ghana Education Service to reconstitute the Board of Wesley Girls SHS and sack Miss Betty from her role
as the head of the institution. But this has generated an ongoing debate on whether the Islamic Organisation can have control on or make suggestions for a Christian
body, calling them to alter their rules, to most Christians, this cannot be done in a muslim school where some common laid down rules demand strict adherance. What
