There was rain in the forecast, so naturally I decided to camp over night at a location at the end of forest road 1N02. I was originally planning to stay at one of the Coon Creek Yellow Post sites, but I decided to see what was further up the road.

Luckily there was a nice secluded spot with an amazing view to the east nestled right next to the Pacific Crest Trail. It was definitely an interesting experience with rain, hail and thunderstorms.
