Painting in Watercolour - Poppies

In this Watercolour demo I will show you how I painted beautiful bright, colourful Poppies. Starting with a background wash painted earlier, I paint intuitively, composing as I go. I share how I keep my colours fresh and how to mix lush greens and darks. You will see me lift out to add depth to the foliage. Use interesting shadow colours and more.
Materials:
Paper - 425gsm Saunders Waterford hi white col press
Pigments: Holbein- Aureolin, Gamboge, Cad Red Light, Pyrrol Red, Peacock Blue, Neutral Tint. Winsor & Newton - Lemon Yellow, Daniel Smith - Green Gold. Schmincke - Transparent Orange
Brushes: 8 & 12 round, various size mop brushes
