Dublin's Sikh community hand out free food twice a week

Dublin's Sikh community are feeding anyone that arrives to their temple, the Gurdwara, twice every week.

Ireland's only Gurdwara is in a distinct Ballsbridge building where the Aviva Stadium looms over it as you walk in.

The building was bought in 1986 after the first immigrants from India began life in Ireland in the 1970s.

In the last five years or so, the Sikhs have taken to the streets of Dublin city centre to hand out food to anyone that wants it.
