Julius Caesar is a 2003 mini-series about the life of Julius Caesar. It was directed by Uli Edel and written by Peter Pruce and Craig Warner. DeAngelis Group, TNT, and Five Mile River Films Production. https://www.imdb.com/title/tt0284741/

The surrender of the Gallic Tribes led by their Chieftain Vercingétorix of the Arverni tribe, leader of the united Gallic Tribes, after their defeat by Rome at the Battle of Alesia. Julius Caesar accepted the surrender and promised Vercingétorix that his men would live. According to Plutarch, Vercingetorix surrendered in a dramatic fashion, riding his beautifully adorned horse out of Alesia and around Caesar's camp before dismounting in front of Caesar, stripping himself of his armor and sitting down at his opponent's feet, where he remained motionless until he was taken away.
He was imprisoned in the Tullianum in Rome for almost six years, before being publicly displayed in the first of Caesar's four triumphs in 46 BC. He was executed after the triumph, probably by strangulation in his prison, as ancient custom would have it.
