The title says it all.

A quiet, still Sunday morning. Man, vintage model, and a small can of model diesel fuel.

Simple pleasures.

The Tomboy is beautifully constructed and finished in doculam (mylar) and orange tissue by a fellow club member.

The Tomboy shown is a 40" span 'half extended wing' version of the original Vic Smeed 36"/44" Tomboy.

Basically, the wing has been extended by one bay each side, instead of the two bays each side (giving 44" span) as suggested by Mr Smeed for use with 1.5cc engines.

The modification was to suit strong Aurora Mills 1.00 c.c. engine. The owner wanted a bit of a floater, so went halfway.
