RTVM’s Video Tribute to Former President Fidel V. Ramos

The Presidential Broadcast Staff – Radio Television Malacañang (PBS-RTVM) offers its deepest condolences on the passing of former President Fidel V. Ramos, 12th President of the Republic of the Philippines.

President Ramos was the master planner of ‘Philippines 2000’ that empowered the nation’s economy. It was during his term as Chief Executive that the Philippines was dubbed as the ‘Tiger Cub Economy in Asia’. The former Commander-in-Chief was also a decorated military officer who served as Chief of Staff of the Armed Forces of the Philippines (CSAFP) from 1986-1988 and Secretary of National Defense from 1988-1991. President Ramos also led the Centennial of the Proclamation of Philippine Independence at the Aguinaldo Shrine in Kawit, Cavite on June 12, 1998.

It is with great privilege that RTVM served the Ramos Administration from 1992-1998. RTVM honors the legacy of the former President and mourns his loss alongside his family, friends and loved ones.
