So the fourth wall.. What is it? I don’t want to bore those of you who already know so I’ll make this brief. The fourth wall is a concept that dates back to the very beginning of theatrical stage performances. Without going into the history, it can be understood as the dividing wall between audience and characters. The audience can see through, but the characters cannot in order to uphold the suspension of disbelief and the story they are trying to tell.

Basically it’s the conceptual one way window into the shows and movies that we watch.

So what if a character knew the audience existed? What if a character acknowledges the audience, talks to them? This is referred to as Breaking the fourth wall. In some movies and shows the characters simply talk to the audience, like in Ferris Buller’s day off, but nowadays The fourth wall is more often shattered for the sake of comedy. Phineas and Ferb, for example, breaks the fourth wall regularly. often more subtle ways. Sometimes poking fun at the absurdity of the situation, the cartoonish visuals and physics, and generally being aware that the characters exist in a cartoon.

Yippee! Well lets see it February, and I got one video out so far, so if my math is correct that mean 6 videos this year :( I'd really like to do more, but life is busy and it's already tons of effort just to take care of myself. Youtube unfortunately takes a back seat in many cases. Last year I made FOUR videos, like, that's not enough, so I'm aiming for 6 this year, but I'm gonna call it now that It won't happen

Anyway here's the QUANTUM PINKIE THEORY, In short, she can break the fourth wall and physics becasue it makes us laugh and smile, I kinda went on a long tangent explaining cutie marks, but I think it's still fun and interesting. Not my funniest video, informative though.

I've though alot about doing videos explaining how magic works in Equestria, but it's a huge project with multiple parts, and I haven't eve written down my lessons yet. Oh, and I'd format the videos as if I was a professor at a magic school, teaching about magic as if we were in Equestria, at least when I can. Obviously I have to refer to scenes from the show, which would be out of character, but I think it'd be fun either way.

As of rn the next video will be another short one talking about different REAL people that were turned into ponies and featured in the show, wether they voiced their self or if a pony was designed after them we will be discussing them all. Stay Tuned! Byeeeeeeee!
