Franco Sarto is a heritage fashion brand inspired by different places, This season, the brand was inspired by Matera, considered the oldest city in Italy, dating back to prehistoric times and steeped in tradition and history while meeting the streamlined need of a modern world. Much like the brand, Matera encompasses classic charm and modern sophistication with a rich history of craftsmanship. Our Creative director Gionata Pagni experienced modern living and dining in ancient caves.

This stone wrought city inspires Taupe Tales
- Burnished Pewter – Gionata referred to this as hidden silver treasures throughout the city
- Vanilla Gloss – remaining in the stone color family, vanilla gloss appears to be a prominent color in this ancient city where dwellings are carved into mountainside.
- Tobacco Vanilla Combo: Brown remains related in the Taupe family but also Brown has been the trending neutral for a handful of seasons now as a soft, ’90s-inspired alternative to black.
- Navy Patent: Navy is a neutral we haven't seen much of in recent seasons, but this year is bringing it back in a major way. Think navy blazers that recall prep-school uniforms and striped navy sweaters that look like they belong on a yacht or the academic prep route.
