🌸 Bread Ke Gulab Jamun Recipe

🧺 Ingredients:

For Jamun Balls:

Bread slices – 6 to 8 (white or milk bread)

Milk – ½ cup (as needed for kneading)

Milk powder – 2 tbsp (optional, for richness)

Cardamom powder – ¼ tsp

Ghee – for deep frying


For Sugar Syrup (Chashni):

Sugar – 1 cup

Water – 1 cup

Cardamom pods – 2

Rose water or few saffron strands – optional

🪔 Method:

1️⃣ Prepare the Sugar Syrup:

In a pan, mix sugar and water.

Add crushed cardamom pods.

Boil for 5–7 minutes till slightly sticky (not too thick).

Add rose water or saffron. Keep warm.


2️⃣ Make the Dough:

Trim the brown edges of the bread slices.

Crumble the bread and sprinkle milk slowly.

Add milk powder and cardamom powder.

Mix and knead into a soft, smooth dough (not sticky).


3️⃣ Shape the Jamuns:

Make small, crack-free balls.

Keep covered with a damp cloth.


4️⃣ Fry the Jamuns:

Heat ghee on low-medium flame.

Fry the balls gently until golden brown from all sides.

Remove and drain on paper towel.


5️⃣ Soak in Syrup:

Immediately put the fried jamuns into warm (not hot) sugar syrup.

Let them soak for at least 1 hour.
