The idea aimed to reduce traffic congestion and lower pollution levels in the city.

However, the people of Delhi found a workaround.
Many started owning both odd and even numbered vehicles, which slowly reduced the effectiveness of the plan.
As a result, the Odd-Even scheme couldn’t continue for long.
