Today, I wanted to highlight some update news for those with a Xiaomi, Redmi, or POCO smartphone.

These folks have mostly been enjoying the new HyperOS 1 firmware that was released earlier this year.
But many have been looking forward to HyperOS 2

With this new firmware update finally being announced in China last month, some have wondered when or if their phone will be getting the update.

And now we have an official timeline of which devices Xiaomi plans on updating first.

Conclusion
Xiaomi has a pretty good reputation of getting their phones updated when they begin to rollout a new firmware like this.
So keep your eye on those notifications as I suspect anyone with these devices will be getting one soon.

This is likely not going to be all of the phones or tablets receiving the update to HyperOS 2.
I suspect we'll be seeing an updated timeline released at the start of 2025 with even more devices being added to the schedule.
