Austria is one of many European countries that has a very small air force, however they have flown some interesting types, mostly from Sweden.

Located around a three hour train journey away from Vienna, Zeltweg Aviation Museum can be reached for a daytrip to visit the largest collection in Austria. There are plenty of types not usually seen in Europe such as the Yakovlev Yak 11 and 18, along with a good collection from the SAAB company. These also include the two specially painted Drakens to mark the type's retirement in 2005.
