Hi gardeners! Today I'm potting up my front door planters with Emerald Green Arborvitaes and squash, and stripping paint from the concrete plinths I got at an estate sale that flank the side of my home. I have been meaning to to strip those plinths for weeks now, and I'm so glad I took the time to stain the concrete as well. It's always bittersweet transitioning planters from summer to fall, but that's a part of container gardening, as I always tear out my summer containers before they get a chance to look bad, because a bad looking planter can make the whole garden look bad.
