Britain's Liberal Democrat leader Ed Davey, on the final day of the party conference in Bournemouth on Tuesday (September 23), attacked far right opponent, Reform Party leader Nigel Farage, for wanting Britain to follow in U.S. President Donal Trump's footsteps.

“Don’t let Trump’s America become Farage’s Britain,” Davey told the party faithful adding that Farage wanted to destroy the National Health Service, roll back gun laws, buy fossil fuel from Russia and introduce fracking.

Davey warned about “dark forces” in British politics, saying: “Imagine living in the Trump-inspired country Farage wants us to become. Where there’s no NHS, so patients are hit with crippling insurance bills. Or denied healthcare altogether."
