Holy SH*T! KEF B110 (rare version) midwoofers w/ INSANE Excursion! | Bass & Sound Test

This is a pair of amazing 5" midwoofers out of home made speakers. It seems like they are a rare version of the KEF B110.They have a HUGE 3.5''*1.2'' ferrite magnet driving a 1'' voice coil. They're really soft but still take a lot of power without bottoming and mechanical noises.

Mids are really smooth and bass deep and punchy even in free air. They were used in big ported enclosures but I think they're made to be used in sealed ones. The ''stock'' tweeters were missing that's why I paired them with 80s Philips silk domes. Fantastic sounding drivers with an unique look, probably my best 5'' woofers so far.

Cones are vented and they use fabric dust caps… I wouldn't be surprised to see a vented coil.
