We continue deeper into Heidegger's essay "The Origin of the Work of Art," moving away now from the three predominant interpretations of the thingly feature of the artwork in western metaphysics, and into the very heart of Heideggerrian metaphysics. This requires attention to the essence of truth itself, which according to Heidegger consists in aletheia (un-covering, un-concealing. As our way into that, we examine Heidegger's conceptions of World and Earth.

World -- the realm of openness -- is set up by the genuine work of art. Earth -- that which shelters -- is set forth by the work of art. And, both of them are placed into creative Strife with each other through the work of art
