I'm often asked why carpets get dirty faster after cleaning. They shouldn't! But many cleaners take a shortcut that will guarantee this.


I hear the frequent comment that "I had my
carpets cleaned, but then they got dirty
really fast after I did, so I don't want
to clean them again, because I'm just
going to be accelerating that process.
Usually, what happens when a person
says that, is that the person who has cleaned
their carpet has used detergent as a final
step.
So, we can actually put a chemical through
the
wand, and we do, but the disadvantage for
you is that a lot of cleaners are gonna put
detergent through it.
That is exactly what
this is for, this is truckmount detergent,
it's supposed to go right through the chemical
pump and right through the wand.
The only reason I have this is because it came with
my truck, several years ago. It's been sitting on my shelf
ever since.
I do not use this.

I a pre-spray--we
put this down on the carpet in a separate
step, and then we give it time to dwell, so
it's using its ability to attract dirt only while it's
on the carpet, and then we remove it from the carpet and
leave the carpet without any residue.

When I do this, I do use
the chemical pump, I run a rinse through the wand,
so the rinse will go all the way through the wand,
to your carpet, it will balance the carpet's
pH so that your carpet is not left soapy, it doesn't
continue to attract dirt, and it will stay clean longer.
