East Coast with Dogs? Find a Dog Friendly Beach!

We travel the western portions of North America, mainly around the western US and western Canada, living out of the comfort of our vehicle aka home- now a pop up truck camper. We seldom explore around the eastern parts but recently made a side trip east and one of the best parts was having the dogs on the beach! There weren’t as many dog parks as were used to finding so we needed a place for them to run. We didn’t think the beach would be much of an option since dogs are typically not allowed on beaches or if they are they are required to be on leash. To our surprise, many east coast beaches DO allow dogs on the beach in the winter months. And some even allow them off leash! This is a good go to plan if you live with dogs on the east, are getting a dog, or are traveling with a dog around the east coast. We found a dog friendly beach area just south of Savanah, Georgia. It was also a no pay, free to park area. Enjoy!
