The tirah also spells as Terah, tira or tera region and also called the tirah valley. Its located in Khyber, kurram and orakzai districts in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province of Pakistan while its smaller part straddles the border to the north lying in nangarhar province Afghanistan. Tirah lies between the khyber pass and the khanki Valley. It is inhabited by the Afridi, orakzai and Shinwari tribes. This place is magical and an alternate of swat valley of Pakistan. The lush green mountains and cold winds during summers will attract you to visit this beautiful valley. Unfortunately its neglected by the tourism department of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa but hopefully one day it will become an attractive tourist and picnic spot in future.
