How to use a TRIAC in LTspice

Описание к видео How to use a TRIAC in LTspice

LTspice is a great and free circuit simulator that allows you to do a lot of things. However, sometimes you run into problems due to a lack of knowledge of how to use the simulator. For instance, simulating a TRIAC or DIAC circuit can be a challenge as these parts do not work straight out of the box. This video shows you how to get the job done. It also gives some background information on TRIACs and how to experiment with them in LTspice.

The Spice models used in this video were originally downloaded from https://www.st.com/en/thyristors-scr-.... This page moved, now all the SPICE models are at https://www.st.com/content/st_com/en/...
From the menu on the left, select "Thyristors (SCR) and AC switches", then download "Standard and Snubberless™ Triacs PSpice model (.lib) and symbols (.olb)" and "Diacs PSpice model (.lib) and symbols (.olb)"
