Stepping out of my comfort zone again is so exhilarating!

This time braving it in France barely speaking any French at all - Oh well.

I've arrived and am ready to explore through the hills along the eastern border with Germany as well as a day trip to Rouen while ticking off the icons in gay Paris.

Now that I've done that, exploring the French countryside was as exciting and delicious as receiving and eating a freshly cooked crepe served with my specialities - Banana, maple syrup & Ice-cream

This part of France is incredible - and so was wandering through the vineyards that were close enough to the Rhine River to say that it's water channels quenched the thirst of the vines that sloped the hills!

This is what I call FREEDOM ITINERARIES!

Explore in my time - no daily morning bus to make.

Being mesmerised by storybook homes and centuries old canals, imaging how life was hundreds of years ago.

Living a little like a local boarding the town's bus line's. Marked with an A or C, one destination was Turckheim a commune that is still protected by a mediaeval wall. And this trip was all for just 1.50 Euros.

Attempting to blend in as a local but taking copious number of photos with a camera slung around my neck was a dead giveaway. Not to mention my Australian accent was like having a large red arrow pointing directly at me - she's a foreigner!

I can't wait to see more of the French countryside.
