Flight - San Diego Bay - Low Bravo Transition With Communications

October 19, 2014 - Coastal flight from John Wayne airport (KSNA) to Brown Field (KSDM) located just above the US/Mexico border.

The flight includes a low offshore transition through the surface segment of the Lindbergh International (KSAN) bravo, and a “bay tour” transition through the San Diego Bay in the delta airspace of North Island NAS (Naval Air Station) (KNZY).

I made this flight to earn some "long XC” time for the instrument rating I hope to earn someday. I also wanted to experience the low bravo transition, and fly the bay tour. It was my favorite flight so far, by a wide margin.

These two transitions are NOT published in the Terminal Area Chart, but I gathered enough information to do them from folks who were kind enough to describe them to one degree or another. I believe I did things generally correct, and it all seemed to work out. However, remember that I am a very low-time pilot.
