TURIN VLOG | Italy’s hidden gem

Описание к видео TURIN VLOG | Italy’s hidden gem

For this video I will be taking you guys through my holiday in Turin, Italy. I was not expecting to fall in love with Turin so easily! There is a surprising amount of activities to do in this under-rated city in the North of Italy. From gorgeous landscapes of the alps to breathtaking cafes by the riverside, this city truly has a little bit of something for everyone! 🇮🇹🍕

Sights to see from this video:

☕️EDIT Café – trendy café, restaurant and cocktail bar in turin, numerous of these cafes are throughout turin

🥗Mezzaluna café – vegan canteen in the centre of turin, you can find vegan pastries, hot dinners, and desserts. Staff are very friendly and speak English so are able to translate the menu for you

🌉Porta palatina/Palitine gate is a famous historic gate built in the roman period next to the Torre Campanaria, a bell tower which you can climb to see the views of Turin

👑Palazzo reale (Royal Palace)/museo di reali – a famous palace in Turin which has a museum you can visit for 3 euro if you are under 25 years old. There are also the palazzo garden’s which are free to enter and are really beautiful!

🏞️Via Po and the Po river – a street which is buzzing late at night! There are restaurants running all down the street and the bridge is lit up at night. A lovely place to visit on an evening out

🛍️Mercato centrale – a massive open space in the centre of turin which has seating in the middle which tons of food vendors all around the sides. A great place to try out lots of different foods including pizza, pasta, coffee, cocktails, soup bowls, meats etc. If you head outside there is usually a market going on with lots of vendors selling all sorts of goods. Opposite the Mercato centrale is another market building with loads of food vendors selling baked goods, fruits, sweets, drinks

🍫Cioccolato festival – a massive festival that took place in October – November in Turin 2023. This market was buzzing with vendors selling chocolate bars, churros, cioccolata calda (classic Italian hot chocolate), chesnuts, and other sweet treats!

🍕Assaje – a beautiful pizzeria with an open pizza oven. We had to wait in a queue for about 30 minutes to enter this restaurant but it was so worth the wait, the vegan pizzas are to die for!

⛲️Parco del Valentino – a gorgeous park in Turin which has a medieval town replica in the centre! We visited a gorgeous café on the side of the river called “Imbarchino”

🌁Basicila di Superga – an amazing building at the very top of Turin which hosts stunning views of the entire city and the alps! We paid to go up to the dome to get an even better view of the beautiful landscape. We used our multiday city pass with the GTT public transport service to take us up to the Basilica, usually a 1930s tram is the best way to go up to the Basilica but this was unfortunately shut when we went

🍰Torta Berlicabarbis – a cute café with plenty of vegan options for both coffee and cake!
