One of my favorite places to go check out the playlist section - Big Dogs Barbeque, located at 5385 US-1 in Grant-Valkaria, Florida, is a cozy eatery renowned for its authentic Southern barbecue. Despite its unassuming location in a gas station parking lot, this establishment has garnered praise for its tender, slow-smoked meats and friendly service. 

The menu features a variety of smoked meats, including pulled pork, beef brisket, ribs, and smoked turkey, complemented by classic sides like coleslaw, baked beans, and their uniquely named “Roadkill Potatoes.” Homemade sauces—Sweet, Tangy, or Hot—enhance the flavors of their dishes. 

Signature items include the “Cracker Samage,” a pulled pork sandwich served on a grilled onion roll with mustard, Thousand Island dressing, dill pickles, cheese, slaw, and sauce, and the Rib Combo, known for its fall-off-the-bone ribs. 

Big Dogs Barbeque offers outdoor seating and takeout options, making it a convenient stop for both locals and travelers seeking a hearty meal. The restaurant operates from 10:30 AM to 7:00 PM Monday through Saturday, and from 10:30 AM to 6:00 PM on Sundays.
