Ralph Fiennes and the makers of The White Crow | BFI Q&A

Описание к видео Ralph Fiennes and the makers of The White Crow | BFI Q&A

The director of The White Crow joins the film's writer, David Hare, and star, Oleg Ivenko, to talk about his biopic of Rudolf Nureyev.

In the film the ambitious and young Nureyev travels to Paris in the 1960s, drawing the attention of the KGB. We meet Nureyev (Ivenko) – who would become one of ballet’s brightest stars – as an electrifying and impulsive young dancer in the early 1960s, when the finest Soviet dancers are sent to Paris. It’s there that Nureyev, culturally ravenous and unapologetically ambitious, falls in love with the city and its intelligentsia, which draws the attention of the KGB.
