1994-1996 Chevy Caprice, Impala SS, 9C1, Buick Roadmaster, Cadillac Fleetwood Belt Tensioner Noise

Let's spend some time in the garage to solve a squeaky belt on a 1995 Chevy Caprice Wagon.

The squeaky issue is due to the belt and/or tensioner. They usually wear out together so it's a good idea to replace them at the same time.

This procedure applies to the following cars with the L99 or LT1 engine:
1994-1996 Chevrolet Caprice, Caprice Wagon, 9C1, Impala SS
1994-1996 Buick Roadmaster, Cadillac Fleetwood

Difficulty increases if your car is equipped with the trailer tow package. This package includes the V92 cooling system upgrade, with mechanical fan. The fan and shroud will be in the way of doing this repair from the top side.
