Pressure on Israel mounting as situation in Gaza 'catastrophic' • FRANCE 24 English

Battles raged across Gaza on Sunday as Israel indicated it was prepared to fight for months or longer to defeat the territory's Hamas rulers, and a key mediator said willingness to discuss a ceasefire was fading. "The IDF has been talking about six weeks to get the job done," FRANCE 24 Chief Foreign Editor Rob Parsons said, adding that this means "things are not going to get any better" for people in Gaza.
