LOOK AT MY BALLS! Engl Powerball vs Powerball II - mk 1 vs mk 2

The Engl Powerball II is one of my favourite amps but I kept hearing Powerballs are supposed to be overgained and fizzy sounding so I went out and grabbed a Powerball mk 1 to find out if it's... overgained and fizzy.

Signal chain:
I'm using a 2011 Gibson Les Paul Standard Faded tuned to drop C# with a Bare Knuckle Holy Diver pickup in the bridge and a VHII in the neck (used only for cleans and leads here).
The guitar is running into a Deasdweald Duality DX which when on is running in TS style mode with gain at 0 and the EQ and Volume at around 1 o'clock. From there the signal goes into an Egnater SS4 Amp Switcher and into the amps. the active amp is routed back into the SS and from there into a Two Notes Torpedo Live with a GGD Cali IR loaded.
