🔴 DE WOUDE | HOLLAND | TRAVEL

🔴 A fun, spontaneous day out with PhilippineTravelers. It was a thick wind 5 bft to sail in the Alkmaardermeer, and then have a walk around & dine in De Woude under the blue sunny skies.

De Woude is a romantic village in the Dutch province of North Holland, with it's intimate tiny church, tiny sluize & a few (used to be farmer's) houses. It is a part of the municipality of Castricum, and lies about 9 km south of Alkmaar. Until 1 January 2002, De Woude belonged to the municipality of Akersloot.

If you don't have your own boat, you can always take the ferry and pay 1 Euro retour.
