When I saw it I couldnt believe it! It's by far my best find this year. Mudlarking The River Thames

The first thing I saw was the engraving. The only reason I spotted this stunning artefact was because I arrived at the river earlier than usual. I was searching a lot higher up the foreshore than I generally do - and when I saw it I literally started shaking with excitement!! It was an extremely lucky find. The light was shining in the right place and it would have been so easy to miss it.
